Locations of the Warsaw Bar Association were besieged during the “Blue Umbrella” campaign. A week of free legal advice for the public, under the patronage of the President of Poland, lasted from 22–27 September 2014. Thanks to the commitment of dozens of attorneys-at-law and trainees from the Warsaw Bar Association, we succeeded in assisting over 500 people with their legal problems!
The theme of this year’s campaign was “Work, Family, Business.” All of the regional bar associations in Poland took part in the initiative launched by the National Bar Association.
The Warsaw Bar Association, the largest regional bar in Poland, invited interested members of the public to several locations. Legal advice was provided not only in the capital, but also in other cities within the Warsaw region: Piaseczno, Płock, Pruszków and Siedlce. Members of the Foreign Commission at the Warsaw Bar Association also joined in the campaign, providing legal advice to foreigners residing in Poland, including citizens of other European Union member states as well as Japan and Mongolia.
Attorneys-at-law taking part in the campaign for the Foreign Commission were Joanna Czaplicka, Piotr Płachta, Radosław Radosławski, Jarosław Wolski and Karol Zgódka.
