The International Affairs Committee has the pleasure of inviting You to „English Law Day” – an event organized in cooperation with the British Law Centre, during which excellent practitioners will familiarize participants, in accessible form, with many interesting aspects of English and international law.
The event take place in Conference Center of Warsaw Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law, Żytnia st. 15/16, 7.11.2019 r., 12.00-17.00.
Speakers will include practitioners having wide knowledge and experience – professionally active solicitors and barristers and partners of several British law firms. Among the speakers we may in particular distinguish Lord Carnwath of Notting Hill – Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom and Stephen Denyer – long time partner of one of the top British law firms and Director of Strategic Relationships at The Law Society of England & Wales.
The event is aimed at familiarizing the participants with a wide range of topics related with English law and British market, and in particular those which may be of interest also to Polish lawyers or which are related to Poland (e.g. fraud, asset tracing and recovery between the UK and Poland, or cross-border division of marital property). The event is aimed in particular at lawyers interested in issues concerning business and investments and fields such as corporate law, intellectual property law, aviation law as well as at in-house lawyers of entrepreneurs and institutions. Legal practitioners will also have the opportunity to compare English and Polish regulations and practice in various fields of law.
The format of the event includes one hour networking meeting with the speakers, during which the participants will have possibility to further explore selected topics, exchange views and insights and interact directly with the speakers and other participants.
