Association Européenne des Avocats—European Association of Lawyers (AEA-EAL)

AEA-EAL is an international non-profit organization operating since 1986. The members include lawyers as well as law firms and bar associations throughout Europe.

The purpose of AEA-EAL is to strengthen ties between lawyers practising in different jurisdictions through mutual exchange of information about legal systems and European law, legal scholarship, and organization of periodic meetings, conferences and workshops.

AEA-EAL offers several types of membership (regular, supporting or corresponding), depending on the type of legal practice and location (in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or other countries in Europe). Prospective members should file the application form available at the AEA-EAL website with the membership fee (ranging from EUR 50 to 400). The benefits of membership include the opportunity to participate in the activities of the association, establish international professional and scholarly contacts, and use the renowned logo of the association.
